Man Attacks Girlfriend, Takes His Own Life in Pimpri Lodge

Date:

A tragic incident occurred on Thursday, October 10, around 4 p.m. at a lodge in Pimpri, where a young man attacked his girlfriend with a knife before taking his own life by hanging. The motive for the attack remains unclear. The man, from Yerwada, had checked into the lodge earlier that day with his 28-year-old girlfriend.

According to police reports, the couple arrived at the lodge and booked a room using their Aadhaar cards. Shortly after, hotel staff heard the woman screaming and rushed to their room. When they knocked and asked the couple to open the door, there was no response, prompting them to alert the police.

Upon arriving, the police requested the man to open the door, identifying themselves. The man responded, “Wait five minutes; I will open the door.” However, when he still didn’t respond, the police forced their way inside. They found the man hanging from the ceiling fan and the woman lying in a pool of blood.

The woman was immediately taken to the hospital, and an investigation is underway to determine why the man attacked her and then took his own life. A case was filed at the Pimpri Police Station later that evening. The incident has deeply shocked the local community, and authorities are working to uncover the reasons behind this tragic event.
