Greater Noida :  NSDC International (NSDCI) and Sompo Care Inc. have announced a strategic collaboration to establish a robust training framework for caregivers in India, focusing on creating international career opportunities, particularly in Japan. As part of this initiative, a cutting-edge Nursing Care Lab has been inaugurated at the NSDCI Greater Noida training center. This facility is equipped to provide advanced practical caregiving skills and Japanese language training, ensuring trainees are well-prepared to meet global caregiving standards.

This partnership aims to address the growing demand for skilled caregivers in Japan by equipping Indian professionals with the expertise and tools to excel in the global healthcare industry.

Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, COO (Officiating CEO) of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, remarked, “This collaboration with Sompo Care Inc. is a significant milestone for NSDC International. Through this partnership, we aim to provide specialized training to Indian nursing care personnel, preparing them for promising opportunities in Japan’s healthcare system. Together, we are addressing Japan’s need for skilled caregivers while strengthening India-Japan ties in the healthcare sector. This initiative reflects our commitment to bridging the gap in global healthcare services.”

The collaboration, initiated in November 2023 and formalized in July 2024, includes a nine-month comprehensive program covering Japanese language proficiency and caregiver domain training. The initial phase of the program will train 75 candidates across three batches before scaling up to accommodate more participants.

The Nursing Care Lab will deliver hands-on training under the guidance of experienced trainers from Sompo Care. This ensures that candidates are fully prepared to meet Japan’s operational standards in caregiving.

Shigeru Ando, Corporate Director of Sompo Care, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This marks the beginning of a nine-month journey for trainees to master Japanese language and nursing care. As Japan’s leading nursing care operator, SOMPO Care has developed an extensive education system over the past 20 years. We are thrilled to bring this expertise to India and support these determined trainees as they prepare for rewarding careers in Japan’s healthcare sector.”

The collaboration between NSDC International and Sompo Care represents a pioneering step toward creating sustainable training models for caregivers in India while unlocking global opportunities in Japan’s healthcare industry.
